Privacy Policy
Privacy policy for The Tradewinds Brief.
Last updated: April 26, 2026
The Tradewinds Brief is a static website. We collect as little information about visitors as is technically possible.
What We Collect
Server logs. Our hosting provider (GitHub Pages, fronted by Cloudflare) records standard server access logs IP address, user agent, request time, referrer for security and abuse-prevention purposes. We do not access these logs for analytics.
Email subscriptions. If you subscribe to our newsletter or contact us by email, we retain your email address and any message content for the purpose of responding or sending the publication you signed up for. Newsletter delivery is handled via a third-party email provider. We do not sell, share, or trade subscriber information with any third party.
What We Do Not Collect
- No tracking analytics. We do not run Google Analytics, Plausible, Fathom, or any third-party visitor analytics on this site.
- No cookies. We do not set cookies for advertising, tracking, or personalization.
- No advertising networks. We do not run third-party ads, retargeting pixels, or tracking scripts.
- No social-media tracking pixels. Embedded share buttons, where used, are static links.
Third Parties
This site is hosted via GitHub Pages and routed through Cloudflare. Both providers receive standard request data as part of normal web operation. Their privacy policies apply to that data. We do not transmit additional information to them.
If we add tools in the future that change any of the above, we will update this policy and date the change.
